1) What is your turn around time for framing services?
Once you have chosen your framing options it usually takes approximately 7-10 days for the team at Portfolio Picture Framers to complete your order. However, if you do have an urgent framing job we can usually accommodate depending on what is required. Contact us about your specifications and we’ll do our best to meet all your framing needs.

2) I need something framed urgently for a present, can you help me?

3) Do you do the framing yourself, or outsource the work?
You can be rest assured that your work never leaves our premises as none of our services are outsourced and all work is done in-house by the owner, Travis Ottey.

4) What is the quality of your products?
All of our products and services are of the highest quality available in Australia. Our work is of quality conservation standard and acid free.

5) Should I use a mat?
A mat fulfils two purposes. First, it compliments your artwork by drawing the eye towards the artwork. Second, the mat acts as a protective barrier between the artwork and the glass by preventing the artwork from being pressed directly onto the glass. Over time humidity and temperature changes can make the artwork stick to the glass, making removal from the frame very difficult without causing damage. Ultimately though, the choice to use a mat is completely up to you.

6) How much does it cost to frame my picture?
The cost of framing something can vary considerably depending on the size, the choice of frame and the addition of other materials such as matting or a mount. To receive an accurate quote please visit our showroom, or request a quote. 

7) How do your prices compare?
Our prices are extremely competitive for custom picture framing. As all work is done in-house, we pass our savings onto our customers by offering a Factory Direct Prices on all custom framing. However if you do happen to find a cheaper quote, we will do our best to beat it! 

8) I want my items framed but I can’t afford it this month – do you offer Lay-by?
YES! You can certainly place your framing order now and arrange a layby option to suit your budget at the time of placing your order. For more information see us in-store or contact us!

9) Do you offer discounts to photographers, galleries, and corporate clients?
Portfolio Picture Framers offers very competitive pricing which includes a Factory Direct Prices. However, if you are a professional photographer, gallery, corporate client, etc with bulk order requirements, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your project and further discounts. For all inquiries on discounts, or otherwise, please contact us.

10) I have a very obscurer item to frame, are you able to frame it?
Portfolio Picture Framers can usually frame just about anything! You Name It – We Frame It! However there are some cases which the item would be better housed in a Perspex box, which we have available in store and can also get custom boxes made to your specifications.

11) Can I purchase either mats or glass without purchasing a frame?
Yes. Simply bring in your required sizes or the frame and we will cut a mat or glass to suit your frame. We can also place the new mat or glass in the frame for you so it’s ready to hang!
